🩰 Ballet Partnering (Yes, Really)
Tuesdays | 6:30–7:30 PM
May 12 – June 9
📍 Montana Dance Center (701 Daniel St)
Alright… hear us out.
This is your chance to try something completely different — and surprisingly fun.
We’re teaming up with Leigh Schanfein (professional dancer with 11+ years in NYC) to bring you a 5-week Ballet Partnering series.
Think: a mix of basic ballet technique, dancing with your partner, balance, coordination, some sneaky conditioning… and maybe even a little defying gravity if you’re feeling bold.
No tutus required (but optional, obviously).
No experience needed.
After a warm-up, you’ll spend time at the barre learning simple ballet movements, then take it into partner work — building trust, communication, and discovering muscles you definitely forgot you had.
Come with a partner (friend, spouse, teammate, whoever)…
Highly recommended, since you’ll be working closely together each week.
✨ Beginner-friendly (like… truly)
✨ Options each week to keep it easier or level it up
✨ Equal parts awkward, fun, and “wait… that was kinda cool”
This is NOT about being good at ballet.
This IS about trying something new and laughing your way through it.
Pricing:
$35 per person
$70 per couple
Note: It’s strongly encouraged to sign up as a pair (or coordinate within a group), even if you swap partners occasionally — you’ll want someone you trust for the partnering elements.
Limited space — and yes, this one’s going to be a great story later.
